Given that Mammoth Lakes is also located in the Inyo National Forest, camping, hiking and cross-country skiing draw many visitors to the area. Every July, Mammoth Lakes comes alive with the sound of music during the Jazz Jubilee. Zydeco, swing and big band music are performed by renowned jazz musicians in a variety of venues throughout the town.
